Data deletion

How to have data held by Stirel deleted, and how long it takes. Last updated 11 September 2026.

Write to [email protected] from the email address linked to the business, or from the WhatsApp number concerned, saying what should be deleted. No account or form is needed, and there is no charge.

What can be deleted

• One conversation — give the phone number or visitor identifier it belongs to.
• Everything about one person — every conversation and contact detail linked to that number or identifier.
• Everything for a business — its data is deleted and its site or number disconnected.

How long it takes

• Live data: within 7 days of the request.
• Backups: up to 14 days after that, when the backup holding it is destroyed.

The business you wrote to decides what is kept, so the quickest route is to ask it directly. You can also write to us and we will act on it.

On a website using the assistant

What a visitor looked at is stored in that business's own website, and the assistant can be asked to forget it from the site itself. Clearing the site's cookies also detaches the visitor from that record.
